Boone Hall Plantation

Wednesday, July 29, 2015

On the second day of our Charleston vacation, Brandon and I decided to visit the beautiful Boone Hall Plantation
We spent a few hours touring the house and grounds, walking through the gardens, and enjoying the shade under the most gorgeous oak trees you ever did see.
(And if you happen to be a fan of the movie The Notebook, several scenes were filmed here as this was the summer home of Allie's family! Pretty neat, right?!)

Have a blessed day!

Charleston Anniversary Trip

Sunday, July 26, 2015

Charleston, you've certainly won my heart.
Brandon and I celebrated 4 years of marriage in this lovely town, and what an amazing time we had! Ever since visiting Savannah last year, we've had Charleston on our bucket list too!
And man, that old southern charm gets me every time...here's just a little peak into our trip!
(photos from day 1 and 3 including glimpses from our carriage ride, and walking and biking all over town with stops at rainbow row, the battery, waterfront park...and many more lovely streets and houses along the way!)

More Charleston adventures to come! Hope you have a wonderful day!!

Our Life is Here | 2015 | Yellow

Tuesday, June 30, 2015

Welcome back to our monthly blog circle!!
When I found out that the color of the month was yellow, I couldn't help but think of one of my favorite restaurants in downtown Chattanooga, The Yellow Deli!
So, Brandon and I made a date out of it, feeling like tourists in our own hometown for the afternoon!
Stops included a visit to the famous Chattanooga Choo Choo to check out the antique (yellow) trolley, dinner at the delicious Yellow Deli, dessert at Milk and Honey for some yummy gelato (and yes, I  did choose the yellow flavor which was amazing! Mango mmmmm!), a stroll through Coolidge Park where the yellow lilies were currently in bloom (lucky timing!), and a drive up to the Sunset Rock to watch the pretty (golden) sunset. A fun day indeed!
Here are a few photos from our day!
(All taken on a Pentax 645n, Fuji 400h, RPL)

And as always, don't forget to follow through the blog circle to see the beautiful photos my friends came up with this past month as well!
