One of the many things I love about photography is that it makes me stop, think, and look for beauty in the little things that surround us.
Since we've been back home from California, life has been keeping us busy. Brandon is now in full swing with his senior clinical rotations at Vanderbilt. He wakes up early to be at the hospital by 6 and is there til the evening. This is 4-5 days a week, and definitely keeps him going. But, he is getting some amazing experience and learning so much. (so proud of him! half-way there!!) In times like these, I've come to realize how easy it is to get caught up in the busyness of day to day, without stopping to notice the beautiful gifts that God has to offer all around us. Whether it be through the beauty of His nature, through a kind smile, through reading His Word... through big things, and through little things. Every day He offers us these amazing gifts, and it's my desire that I will always cherish them. (Ps 37:4)
Yesterday, Brandon got off a little bit earlier than usual so we decided to head to the lake. I love, love, love living just a few miles from the lake. It was such a beautiful, quiet evening. Skipping rocks in the lake, enjoying the water, watching the sun fall below the horizon creating the most golden sky. It's the little things in life....I am so grateful for these times!
"Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realize they were big things." Robert Brault
